This web portal monitors the progress of Transmission System in the country, both Inter State and Intra State Transmission Projects through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) as well as Regulated Tariff Mechanism. This web portal also shows the prospective upcoming Inter State as well as Intra State Projects along with Notice Inviting Tenders (NITs) being floated by different Transmission Utilities across India.



Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) is a “Maharatna” central PSE and is India’s largest Electric Power Transmission Utility.



Central Transmission Utility of India Ltd., a 100 % subsidiary of PGCIL has been established as separate company to undertake network planning and development based on the National Electricity Plan in coordination with all concerned agencies as provided in Section 38(2) of the Electricity Act.



Central Electricity Authority, established under section 3 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948, shall perform the functions and duties as per Section 73 of Electricity Act, 2003. CEA has to discharge various other functions as well under Section 3 (National Electricity Policy & Plan), Section 8 (Hydro Electric Generation), Section 34 (Grid Standards), Section 53 (Provision relating to Safety and Electric Supply), Section 55 (Use of Meters) and Section 177 (Making of Regulations) of the Electricity Act, 2003.



CERC is a statutory body functioning under Sec - 76 of the Electricity Act 2003. CERC was initially constituted under the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 on 24th July, 1998.



National Power portal (NPP) acts as a repository for various reports on Generation and transmission in the country, which are published by CEA on regular basis.



POSOCO is National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) which is assigned the function of optimum scheduling and despatch of electricity among the Regional Load Despatch Centres, apart from various other functions by Ministry of Power.
